Oh joy of joys. As much as it makes me sound like a basic white girl, I love fall. I love the carpets of leaves. I love the sounds of crunching underneath my feet. I love how even the city looks like the forest. And I love fall outfits. It seems to me, that in the fall especially, you don't have to really work all that hard to make a great outfit, which is perfect for me because I tend to forget accessories anyway. Not that I don't love them, it's just that nowadays I don't think I need much more than finger rings, and sometimes I even forgo those (though not today, obviously). Actually, there are several reasons why I don't accessorize that much anymore.

Happy Halloween, my loves. In just a few days fall will be officially launched with all its glory and today, these pictures tell a little story. A story of fear. For in this week things lurk in the shadows waiting to remind us of imminent death. For some, this is too frightening of a thought and they turn their thoughts to pillowcases full of candy.

I, however, have always loved Halloween, with all its most foul folklore. Perhaps it is because my family was on the conservative side and avoided the holiday, but Halloween has always held a special place in my heart. I think it’s the celebration of fall really and truly arriving – the temperatures are cool, but not cold. The sun’s levels are perfection. However, my love of Halloween also stems from the fact that we recognize this otherworldly spiritual realm and a fear of ghosts becomes not so childish after all, but a real consideration.

October, my foot. Last week we had some lovely (not) 80 degree days. It's a struggle deciding what to wear each day that we wake up with a chilly 50 degrees that nips our noses and pricks our arms on morning strolls with the dogs. To be cold in the morning, or hot in the afternoon? The other day, I decided not to compromise. I decided to go with a loose knit crochet back sweater that just so happens to match my lovely blue based boho skirt. Despite having both a comfortable and, in my not so humble opinion, very stylish outfit, I couldn't get my hair to behave. After a long, angry struggle, I threw it up in a bun and decided it was time to focus on some acceptance. You guys, I was not very motivated to write this week. I'll be honest - I'm just tired. I'm not one of those bloggers who has a list of things to teach and chooses her outfits accordingly. No, I photograph outfits that make me feel happy and then see if there is something to come from it. Usually, I also wear a lot of the same pieces because my core wardrobe makes me so happy that there is no reason not to restyle, restyle, restyle. Why spend my hard earned money on new clothes when I already have so many beautiful pieces to love? So here is this slip, yet again, but with a twist I've never used before - for this slip at least. If you are wondering if you've seen this outfit before, you definitely have. Almost one year ago to date, in fact. I was looking back at some old posts and it really amazes me how much I have grown in 2015. My photography (and that of my husband and brother, each of whom has been taught how to photograph me when needed) is so much better, my poses are better, and I feel much better about the quality I've provided to you, my dear readers. Every since I decided to make quality my number one priority, which, consequently, I thought meant abandoning outfit posts, I've really been proud of some of the work I've brought to the table. That is why we are going back one year as an homage to growth.
